I am currently running Pinnacle 1.3 on my Samsung Captivate but while doing a restore using Titanium Backup, something must have gone wrong and my phone started lagging and having issues such as the phone dialer and the messaging app closing on their own so I have decided to re-flash the rom since it’s a great rom and very stable.
I backed up everything with Titanium Backup but I couldn’t find the location of my wallpaper, it took me a while to find it and today I will show where it is and how to save it to a different location. Of course, this is if your current wallpaper is not under your “Gallery” app.
What you need:
The location of the wallpaper is the following:
/data/data/com.android.settings/files/wallpaper
From there all you have to do is to copy the file to a different location, and rename it with the file extension “.jpg” as I will show in the below steps:
Step 1- Open Root Explorer (or the alternative) and navigate to “/data/data/com.android.settings/files/wallpaper” as shown below:
Step 2: Long-press wallpaper and select copy. Now, navigate to a different folder (your pictures folder) and paste the “wallpaper” file there. Once pasted, long-press it and select rename. Now you can rename it to whatever you want, just make sure you add “.jpg” at the end. For example if you decide to keep the filename as “wallpaper” then rename it to “wallpaper.jpg” as shown below:
From here you can copy it, send it, or share it with your friends. Hopefully this helps some people out there and by the way this is the background I backed up: (Nothing fancy, but simple and nice
